ConSentry Networks Named a Red Herring 100 Award Winner
Award Recognizes the 100 “Most Promising” Companies Driving the Future of Technology
Milpitas, CA – May 2, 2007 – Red Herring today announced that ConSentry is a recipient of Red Herring 100 Spring, an award given to the top 100 private technology companies based in North America.

ConSentry is the leader in secure switching, the ability to control every user and secure every port on the LAN. The company delivers secure switching in its LANShield Controller and LANShield Switch. The LANShield Controller deploys transparently in the network, sitting between existing wiring closet switches and the core of the LAN. The LANShield Switch is 48-port gigabit Ethernet switch for the wiring closet.
Both platforms provide the full set of capabilities needed to protect enterprise assets – Network Admission Control (NAC), visibility, identity-based control, and threat control. They both rely on ConSentry’s custom LANShield silicon – a 128-core processor and two programmable ASICs that work together to inspect and control traffic at 10 Gbps. The programmability of the LANShield silicon enables ConSentry to keep pace with changes in applications and security requirements.
