Town North Bank Banks on ConSentry for PCI Compliance
ConSentry’s LANShield Platform Authenticates Users, Segments the LAN, and Enables Role-based Access Control across the Bank’s Corporate Network
Milpitas, CA – July 25, 2007 – ConSentry Networks, the leader in secure switching, announced today that Town North Bank N.A. of Dallas has deployed its LANShield™ platform to limit user access to customer information. The bank, which focuses on financial services for individuals and businesses as well as on payment services for credit unions, has deployed ConSentry platforms in both its primary operation center in Dallas and its disaster recovery back-up location.
Town North Bank, one of the largest independent banks in North Dallas, initiated the deployment to augment its internal controls to comply with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standard.
“Our priorities were to authenticate users, enforce LAN segmentation with firewalling, and control users on the LAN,” said Jon Odom, senior systems engineer at Town North Bank. “We were headed down the path of rearchitecting our VLANs, but ConSentry’s approach provides us a more secure solution. Plus, we’re a lean team, and we could deploy it in days instead of the months it would have taken to do VLANs and firewalls.”
