CONSENTRY NETWORKS WINS BEST IN SHOW AWARD FOR INNOVATION AT INFORMATION SECURITY DECISIONS SHOW
Milpitas, CA – October 24, 2006 – ConSentry Networks, a leading provider of secure LAN solutions, announced today that it won the Best of Show Award for Innovation from a small company at the Information Security Decisions (ISD) conference held in Chicago from October 18-20. The award recognizes that ConSentry’s LANShield Switch takes an interesting approach to solving a common security challenge—how to protect access to critical business data and services while supporting the basic LAN services for guests that today’s business relationships demand. In the past several months, ConSentry has also won the Best of Interop Las Vegas and Best of Interop Tokyo awards in the infrastructure and security categories and the 2006 Techworld Award for the most Innovative Product of the Year.
ConSentry’s winning entry focused on its pioneering concept of the secure switch. The company’s LANShield Switch is the only security platform to combine the capabilities of Network Admission Control (NAC), visibility, identity-based control, and threat control into a single platform that deploys transparently in the network and maintains LAN-speed throughout. ConSentry’s win was decided by the votes of ISD show attendees, analysts from The Burton Group, and editors of Information Security Magazine.
